Welcome Letter

Hello Parents and Families,

 

The El Granada Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) would like to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning families back to school.  We are very excited to share in this educational journey with you and your EGE student(s)!  The EGE PTO is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the educational and enrichment needs of our students.  As we navigate our return to campus, the PTO’s highest priority is the safety and well being of EGE students and staff. As a result, some of our programs and events may look a little different this year than they have in the past. We look forward to a time when we can bring everyone together, but until then we are taking things one month at a time to determine the best way to support our students, staff and families.

 

The “P” in PTO is for “Parent” and just by being a parent or caregiver of an El Granada Elementary student you are a member of this organization. Since we are a volunteer organization our success depends upon participation from parents. Being involved is one way to further your child’s education, learn more about the school, and meet other wonderful parents in our community.

 

You will find that El Granada Elementary has a dedicated and passionate group of parents and teachers that enrich our school and make it unique.  Every year, through the efforts of the PTO, programs that are no longer funded by the state are made possible.  These programs include:

 

  • Art, Music, and Physical Education

  • Arts and Science Week, a nationally and locally recognized event

  • Library books and playground equipment

  • Stipends for classroom teachers to purchase supplies and materials

  • Family Fun Events

  • Assemblies and Community events; and so much more!

 

Please join us at our next PTO meeting, October 6th  at 6:00 pm, via zoom.  We look forward to seeing new and returning faces with fresh and exciting ideas and energy!
