PROGRAMS
The PTO funds and organizes numerous enrichment activities for the students and families of El Granada Elementary School because we are passionate about educating the whole child and we know that art, music, science, physical education and a shared sense of community are paramount in keeping kids inspired and engaged.

LIBRARY
Librarian
Library Books
We provide four additional hours of librarian time every week to ensure all students have access to this incredible resource. We also provide an annual stipend to the librarian for the purchase of new library books.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
PE Teacher for TK-3rd
Playground Equipment
We provide the salary for a PE Teacher for the TK through 3rd Grade students so that all El Granada Elementary students receive 30 minutes of physical education every week. We also provide annual stipends for the purchase of new playground and physical education equipment to keep kids engaged and active.

ART
We provide Art education (Art in Action) through a volunteer-led hand-on curriculum. Instructions, supplies and volunteer training are provided. At the end of the year students showcase their work at an art show held during Open House.

Arts & Sciences Day (a nationally and locally recognized event that the kids call "the best day of the year") has been expanded to Arts & Science Week! This is a week long showcase of hands-on exploration of the arts & sciences with assemblies, workshops, demonstrations, and education all made possible by collaborations with community members.
